Perhaps the grapes can cheer me up, because they have reached not only one of my favourite scenes in Jane Eyre, but one of my favourite scenes in all literature ever...

It is a very good bit, isn't it? The whole sequence. The eerie creepy stuff when Jane can hear something or someone outside her room, and the drama of FIRE and then the intimate moments following... It's just great stuff.
I do feel better.
